We met in a parking lot in Temecula. In the parking lot it was only too cool but there was no rain. However we could see that the hills we would soon be riding in were covered in clouds.
Martin's "little" brother.
Eight intrepid riders and this reporter, led by Fern, headed out to the Santa Rosa Plateau. The Irish might call it a fine soft day but soon there was too much rain for this reporter. Your less than intrepid reporter turned around in the rain and returned to the starting point barely half an hour into the ride.
According to leader Fern, the intrepid eight cycled into the hills and rain and completed the ride. That makes two tough weekends in a row for Fern. She completed the Cinderella Century in the cold and wind and rain just last weekend.
