It was really a ride that was organized by the San Diego River Park Foundation and the San Diego Bicycle Coalition. Us Knickerbikers just tagged along.

| Fortunately Kathy Kehan and some others who knew the route were along. There were twelve riders who left Dog Beach, six were Knickerbikers. At least four other riders were from the sponsoring organizations. |
