The San Diego "May Gray" had a serious start by Mothers Day 2011. The weather man even suggested there might be some drizzle. This threat didn't deter eleven or thirteen intrepid Knickerbikers who joined Susan for a ride to Santee Lakes to celebrate Mother's Day with sandwiches and champagne. Not just any Champagne either, rather Almond Champagne. |

Count 'em. Ten intrepid Knickerbikers plus a photographer make eleven. Two more Knickerbikers showed up for the festivities. They had intended to meet the group at the entrance to Mission Trails Regional Park but arrived after we had left. They waited but they didn't call so they missed the Champagne. Sorry folks. Next year. BTW. It was cool and windy but there was no drizzle. |
