Strong Ride/ Kicker Bikers

Dee and Terry wanted a no frills, no coffee break ride on a regular basis. The initial ride was to be a couple of laps around Fiesta Island to get warmed up then up Santa Monica, regroup at CPK (Cabrillo Point Kiosk), down to the tide pools, up, and on to the end of the ride, stopping in OB for lunch only if desired. Sounds like a Knickerbiker ride of 15 or 20 years ago. Eight riders showed up on a cold, (for San Diego), overcast morning.

What to call the ride/group. The Bull-A-Ton said, "Strong Ride." Some other names had been kicked around. It was one of those those other names the initial riders chose to call themselves, KickerBikers.

The initial ride went as described up to CPK. The group opted to skip the Tide Pools and went on to Liberty Station for lunch before riding back to the start. (Isn't that just like the Knicker Bikers?)

If this kind of ride appeals to you, show up 0900 Wednesday, north side of the Mission Bay Visitor's Center, over by the bathrooms and ride with the Kicker Bikers.
