Saturday riders met at the Old Town Trolley Stop before dividing into two groups, one stopping for coffee and one group not stopping for coffee. Your reporter rode with the coffee drinkers. We rode by Kevin's and saw that he wasn't there so we went on to our alternate choice a couple of blocks away. There were some notes pinned to Kevin's Place so a couple of us stopped to read them. One explained that Kevin wasn't well. There was a baggie with the url of a web site where we could learn more. The url is http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/kevinmerry. I surfed there. Posted only an hour earlier was a note that Kevin has pancreatic cancer. It will take lots of good thoughts and prayers to make this happen. Please send them Kevin's way. |

Post Script: Sadly, shortly after this was posted Kevin passed away as a result of the cancer. The Jump Start Coffee Stop is still open, preserving his memory. |
