Coronado Cruise

Sharon wrote it up, Belle Jour. It was a ride from in front of the County Administration Building, around the Big Bay to Spiro's Gyros for lunch. From there ride back around the Bay for 50 miles or take the ferry back to the start for 25 miles. Sharon couldn't have picked a better day for this ride.

It was a beautiful day on the bay and all around the bay. A bit of rain the night before had cleared the air and brought temperatures down to seasonal.

We met in front of the beautiful, art deco, County Administration Building, This beautiful building originally served as San Diego's City Hall

South Bay Bikes. I hoped to take photos of the gang here but they took another route.

In the meantime I caught these riders.

All that pink, these two riders looked like they may have come from the Susan G. Komen event that also took place today.

Point Loma. The day was so clear I couldn't resist some beautiful San Diego scenery.

Another view of Point Loma

It was even clear enough to see the light house atop the point

Our ferry is at the landing. Better get aboard.

On the Ferry. Several riders saved ferry fare by riding back around the bay to get in the full 50 miles. Ferry riders settled for 25, unless they rode to the ride.

The latest thrill ride available on the Bay

It was a great day for a ride around the Bay. Not only was the tempreture fine and the views great, the wind was at our backs coming up the Strand rather than in our face as it usually is. Thanks again Sharon. You do great things for us.
