Eight riders (the photographer is not in this photo) showed up for the challenge. After some discussion, three riders opted for an alternate ride. Five riders headed for Mt. Soledad. |
The route chosen was into Pacific Beach and up Lamont St., which becones Soledad Rd. Our leader, Mike, likes to go by Kate Sessions Park. |
Along the way, two riders announced they were turning back. That left three riders still on their way to the top. Nearly at the top the three met a Knickerbiker who had been to the top and was on his way down. He was enjoined to join the three riders on the way and go back to the top. |

We all went down together. Two riders headed home at the bottom. The others headed for a bagel shop in the Golden Triangle. |
